Team Building

Using activities and events to motivate, improve morale and promote cooperation to help your swimmers improve working together as a team.

Why Is It Important?

Because according to the National Alliance for Youth Sports 70% of kids quit sports by age 13. Which means building camaraderie amongst your swimmers strengthens your team, builds better team culture, stops bullying, and encourages kids to keep swimming.

Ways To Incorporate Team Building Into Your Season

  • Eating Together- Things like Pancake Breakfasts & Team dinners can help bring your team together.

  • Group activities- such as playing games (soccer or volleyball) during dryland. Relays or water polo during practice. These are great ways for your team to get to know each other and create friendships.

Team Building is about engaging swimmers and creating bonds, so don’t get stuck in a rut. Keep looking for new ideas & ways to bring your team together.
